AVANGAR advance to New Legends Stage over TYLOO

AVANGAR are through to the New Legends Stage after beating TYLOO 2-0, 16-12 on Cache and 16-14 on Inferno.

AVANGAR charged out of the gate on Cache, their map pick, winning the pistol round and the first gun round, and kept rolling over TYLOO taking a 5-0 lead. It was finally thanks to a triple by YuanZhang "⁠Attacker⁠" Sheng that TYLOO got on the board in the sixth round. Doubles by Hansel "⁠BnTeT⁠" Ferdinand and YuLun "⁠Summer⁠" Cai then saved TYLOO from a double reset, but Bektiyar "⁠fitch⁠" Bahytov then got two frags of his own on B the following round, making it 7-2 as TYLOO decided to go save their three weapons instead of trying a retake against the odds.

Going up 8-2, it looked like AVANGAR were going to take a big lead into the half, but the Asian side clawed their way back to a 7-8 half which concluded with a last round effort by the Indonesian duo of BnTeT and Kevin "⁠xccurate⁠" Susanto, who stopped a B push.

The Indonesians then went big with doubles each in the second pistol round on a B push to tie the match up as they got the early economic lead in the second half. They then took their first lead of the match after the anti-eco. It was finally when down 8-11, that AVANGAR were finally able to get back on the board with a succesful A defense. Aidyn "⁠KrizzeN⁠" Turlybekov was then able to win a 1vs1 against xccurate to defuse the bomb on A and bring it to within one, 10-11.

AVANGAR then tied it up winning an anti-eco, and from there on out were completely dominant as TYLOO were short on money and ideas. The Asian side were able to win one more round, but it would be AVANGAR with a tight defense that would go on to close Cache out, 16-12.

TYLOO hit back in the first round of the second map with a successful A hit on the pistol round. Down 0-2, Dzhami "⁠Jame⁠" Ali and Alexey "⁠Qikert⁠" Golubev were able to get doubles to get on the board, which AVANGAR were able to follow-up to tie the match, 2-2, thanks to a successful 3vs3 retake on B. The teams then went back-and-forth, but it was finally the Kazakh side who were able to get ahead, as TYLOO once again struggled on the attacking side, with the half ending 10-5 for Jame and company.

It was AVANGAR who won the second pistol round with a very strong B play, and then won against a forcebuy and an eco to further stretch their lead, making it 13-5. A successful B execute then all but put the last nail in TYLOO’s coffin, as they were penniless and unable to save any weapons. With ten match points, AVANGAR needed to use every single one of them to clinch it, 16-14, as TYLOO failed to make an incredible comeback happen at the last moment.
